Commonwealth Games, Day 5: As it happened...

Glasgow: Ace Indian shooter Gagan Narang enhanced India's medal tally at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games as he bagged a silver medal in Men's 50m Rifle Prone.
Narang lost by a close margin as he finished with 203.6 points against Warren Potent who bagged the gold with 204.3 points. Rai set a Finals Games Record (FGR) collecting a total of 194.1 points. With 187.2 points, Gurpal Singh took home the silver while Australia's Daniel Repacholi clinched the bronze medal. RESULT: Nigera beat India 3-1 in the Men's Table Tennis Bronze medal match as O. Onaolapo beat Sharath Kamal in Match 4 (11-9, 3-11, 11-7, 11-5). Nigeria did very well to comeback after losing Game 1 and going behind in Game 2 to win the Bronze medal. RESULT: Singapore beat India 3-2 in the Badminton Mixed Teams Bronze medal match. S.M. Sari/L. Yao beat Jwala Gutta/Ashwini Ponnappa in Match 5 (21-17, 29-27) to seal the Bronze medal for Singapore. SquashEngland's Peter Barker beats India's Saurav Ghosal 3-1 in the bronze medal match. RESULT: Jitu Rai wins gold, Gurpal Singh wins silver in the Men's 50m Pistol. That's another gold-silver combo for India. Men's Table Tennis: H.R. Desai/Anthony Arputharaj lose to S. Toriola/O. Men's Table Tennis: Sharath Kamal beats Segun Toriola 11-9 11-5 11-7 to give India a 1-0 Nigeria lead in the Bronze medal match. H.R. Desai is playing against Q. Aruna in Match 2 of the Men's Table Tennis. The Nigerian won Game 1 11-7. Liang is now motoring ahead as her lead stretches to 5 points over Sindhu. As players take a short break and switch sides, Z. Liang leads P V Sindhu 11-10 in a match that has been tightly contested so far. P V Sindhu will take on X. Liang in Match 4 of the Mixed Team Bronze medal match between India and Singapore. If Sindhu fails to win this match, Singapore will be awarded the Bronze medal. Badminton Mixed Team Bronze medal match: INDIA 1-2 SINGAPORE India need to win MATCH 4 to stay alive in this contest. Commonwealth Games record: Indian shooter Jitu Rai broke the Commonwealth Games record to march into the 50-metre men`s pistol finals as he amassed 562 points and finished top of the standings at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre here Monday. 50m Pistol Final will commence at 16:45 IST.
