West Indies

136/10(47 Overs)

Welcome back for England's reply.

... SECOND INNINGS ...

Just as Athanaze and Hodge were beginning to put England under the pump through their intent, Atkinson struck thrice in a single over before Chris Woakes got into the act to reduce the West Indies from 88/3 to 88/7. Atkinson ran through the tail and then Anderson completed the formalities by picking the last wicket. West Indies will be very disappointed with their batting effort, especially after the way they started both sessions. With the skies likely to stay overcast, West Indies will hav

Well, things escalated pretty quickly after Lunch, didn't they? This has been a collapse of some enormity for the West Indies. Gus Atkinson was the chief architect of the Windies collapse, returning figures of 7 for 45, including 5 maidens on Test debut. Nothing short of a dream debut for the 26-year-old right arm-pacer as he leads the England team back into the dressing room. Half an hour into the second session, West Indies were going along rather nicely with both Alick Athanaze and Kavem

... DAY 1, SESSION 2 ...

As far as England are concerned, they will be pleased with the way they fought back after a quiet first 40 minutes or so. James Anderson and Chris Woakes started the proceedings for England but were guilty of bowling too short, failing to induce false shots from the batters. This resulted in a wicketless first half hour for England on a slow, docile wicket. The introduction of extra pace did the trick for the hosts as debutant Gus Atkinson struck with his second delivery in Test cricket and to
