Even though the Aam Aadmi Party has lost in this election, the party has definitely played a game with Congress. This time in Gujarat, the vote share of the Aam Aadmi Party was around 13 percent, whereas in 2017 it was 0.10 percent. This time Congress got a 27.3 percent vote share as against 41.4 percent in 2017.
BJP has created history in Gujarat. BJP has broken all records and registered its biggest-ever victory with 156 seats. With this, BJP has also broken the 1985 record of Congress. In 1985, Congress created a record by winning 149 seats in the state when Madhav Singh Solanki became the chief minister.
BJP has created history by winning for the seventh time in a row by bringing a thumping majority in Gujarat. So there is a historic defeat of Congress in this election. On BJP's victory, Congress leader Harish Rawat has said that this is the result of division of votes, Aam Aadmi Party has given votes to BJP by serving them on a plate.
