वयाच्या 17व्या वर्षी घर सोडून मुंबईत आली, अन् बी टाऊनची 'क्वीन' झाली

मुंबई : गेल्या अनेक दिवसांपासून कंगना रनौत तिच्या 'मणिकर्णिका: द क्वीन ऑफ झांसी' चित्रपटामुळे चर्चेत आहे. 'मणिकर्णिका'मधून दिग्दर्शन क्षेत्रात पदार्पण करणाऱ्या कंगनाने स्वत:ला मोठ्या पडद्यावर क्वीन म्हणून सिद्ध केलं आहे. 23 मार्च 1987 मध्ये हिमाचलमधील छोट्याशा गावात जन्मलेल्या कंगनाने बॉलिवूडमध्ये स्वतःच्या हिंमतीवर एक वेगळीच उंची गाठली आहे. कंगनाने वयाच्या 17व्या वर्षी आपलं घर सोडलं आणि या स्वप्ननगरी मुंबईत आली. महेश भट्ट यांच्या 'गॅंगस्टर' चित्रपटातून कंगनाला पहिला ब्रेक मिळाला आणि पहिल्याच चित्रपटासाठी कंगनाने पुरस्कारही पटकावला.

Apart from the total collections, the film registered highest single day collections for a women led film on Day 2 (18.1 crores) and highest opening weekend for a women led film (42.55 crores). Prior to the release of the film, a special screening was organized for the President of India, who praised the film wholeheartedly. Since Kangana wanted the youth of India to witness the story of the great queen, she also organized a special screening for school children. Following her example, Kangana’s fans also organized a screening of the film for underprivileged children. एका मुलाखतीत कंगनाने तीच्या पहिल्या ऑडिशनबाबत सांगितलं. महेश भट्ट यांच्या ऑफिसमध्ये मोहित सुरी आणि अनुराग बसु यांच्याशी माझी ओळख झाली. त्यावेळी 'गॅंगस्टर'साठी ऑडिशन चालू होत्या. मी ऑडिशन दिलं परंतु माझ्या कमी वयामुळे महेश भट्ट यांनी मला रिजेक्ट केल्याचं कंगनाने सांगितलं. 'गॅंगस्टर'साठी शायनी आहुजा आणि चित्रांगदा सिंह यांना कास्ट करण्यात आलं होतं. त्यानंतर जवळपास दोन महिन्यानंतर एक दिवस अनुराग बसुने फोन करून शूटिंगसाठी येण्यास सांगितलं. चित्रांगदाने तीच्या खासगी कारणासाठी चित्रपट करण्यास नकार दिला होता. अनुराग बसुने 'गॅंगस्टर'च्या कथेसाठी मी योग्य व्यक्ती असल्याचं सागितलं आणि अशाप्रकारे पहिला चित्रपट मिळाल्याचं कंगनाने सांगितलं.

कंगनाने अतिशय कमी वयातच पहिला पुरस्कार पटकावला. 'फॅशन' (2009), 'क्वीन' (2014), 'तनु वेड्स मनु रिटर्न्स' (2015) यांसारख्या अनेक सर्वोत्तम चित्रपटांतून तिने विविध भूमिका साकारल्या आहेत. कंगनाच्या चित्रपटसृष्टीतील उत्तम कामगिरीबाबत तिला तीन वेळा राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कारांनी सन्मानित करण्यात आलं आहे. गेल्या 10 दिवसांपासून कंगना कोयंबतूरमध्ये स्पेशल मेडिटेशन करत आहे. कंगनाने यावर्षी तीचा वाढदिवस खास करण्यासाठी 10 दिवसांचं मौन ठेवलं आहे. गेल्या वर्षी कंगनाने आपल्या नवीन घरी कुटुंबियांसोबत वाढदिवस साजरा करत 13 झाडांची रोपटी लावली होती.

कंगनाचा जन्म हिमाचल प्रदेशातील एका छोट्याशा कस्बे भांबला गावात झाला. कंगनाची आई शिक्षिका तर वडील व्यावसायिक आहेत. कंगनाचे आजोबा नेता होते त्यामुळे तीच्या घरी राजकारणाचा रंग होता. कंगनाने बॉलिवूडमध्ये येण्यासाठी वडिलांशी अनेक वाद केले होते. त्यानंतर समाजाशी लढा देत मोठ्या संघर्षानंतर आज कंगना बॉलिवूडमधील सर्वात अधिक मानधन घेणाऱ्या अभिनेत्रींपैकी एक आहे. गेल्या वर्षी आलेल्या एका अहवालनुसार, कंगना तीच्या एका चित्रपटासाठी 11 कोटी रूपये घेत असल्याची माहिती मिळाली होती.
