Clashes broke out between the BJP workers and the West Bengal Police during the saffron party’s 'Nabanna Chalo' protest march against West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's government. The clashes erupted after BJP workers gathered outside the party's state headquarter in Kolkata to participate in the 'Nabanna Chalo' agitation. West Bengal Police had to use tear gas, water cannon to disperse the BJP workers at Howrah's Santragachi during the saffron party's 'March to Nabanna'.
Mamata said "Rivers in Jharkhand have not undergone dredging. If they release waters in huge amounts, it will flood several districts of Bengal" "The road in Howrah belonging to HRBC, the pitch road has completely come off. Now, they are telling the state government to repair the roads" "Bad road conditions will not be tolerated. Must be pursued by police, district authorities," she added.
