India's External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar will be on a visit to Palestine's Ramallah from March 8th to 9th. This is Dr Jaishankar's first ever visit to Ramallah in his capacity as External Affairs Minister. The EAM will also call on Palestine's President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh.

Soumya Santosh, 30, who hailed from Kerala's Idukki district, worked as a caregiver attending to an old woman at a house in the southern Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon. Soumya's mortal remains were sent to India on May 14 in a specially arranged flight and reached her hometown the next day. She has a nine-year-old son whom she had left with her husband in Kerala.
