Tye, who was with the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, flew to Sydney on Sunday via Mumbai and Doha, citing the ‘stress of bubble life’ and concerns about borders closing in Australia. A number of Australia’s top cricketers remain in India, including batsmen Steve Smith and David Warner, Glenn Maxwell and paceman Pat Cummins.
Australia's Aaron Finch played a captain's knock of 79 not out in the fourth T20 against New Zealand in Wellington on Friday (March 5). Finch smashed a second successive fifty in T20Is and his knock included 26 runs off the final over bowled by New Zealand paceman Kyle Jamieson. The Australian skipper's fine show lifted his team to 156/6 after Kiwi spinners Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi had restricted the visitors well. Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa has expressed his excitement of plying his trade for RCB in the upcoming IPL 2020 and the prospect of bowling alongside fellow leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. RCB had announced the signing of right-arm leg-spinner Zampa as a replacement for Kane Richardson in their squad for IPL 2020. Zampa has prior experience in the IPL, having played for Rising Pune Supergiants in 2016-17. He has played 11 IPL matches, grasping 19 wickets at a decent economy rate of 7.55. Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns with SunRisers Hyderabad in their opening encounter on September 21.
RCB have announced the signing of Australian Right- arm leg-spinner Adam Zampa as a replacement for Kane Richardson. Richardson, pulled-out of the tournament to be with his wife for the birth of their first child. Zampa has played 11 IPL matches, grasping 19 wickets at a decent economy rate of 7.55. He has also won 55 ODI and 33 T20I caps respectively for the national team.
