A CRPF constable and his wife were arrested in Greater Noida for severely abusing a 10-year-old neice, leaving her critically injured on ventilator support; the constable has been suspended.

A large-scale search operation has been launched across multiple areas of South Kashmir following reports of suspicious movement captured on CCTV cameras.

The slain LeT commander, identified as Rahaman Bhai, had been active in South Kashmir for over three years. He was killed alongside Amir Ahmad Dar, a local militant from Daarmdoora, Keegam in Shopian, who had joined terrorist ranks on 28 September 2023.

Till now, the Delhi Police was responsible for the CM's security. Z-category security is one of the highest security levels approved by the Centre, which comprises over 20 commandos along with drivers, proximity guards and escort vehicles, and is reserved for individuals facing serious threats.

The NCERT module highlights that Operation Sindoor was more than a military mission. It symbolised India’s pledge to safeguard peace while honouring the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives.

The incident came to light on Saturday morning when the accused surrendered at the Anjar police station, where the victim was posted as an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI).

The annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage to the Amarnath cave shrine in Jammu & Kashmir is set for July 3 to August 9, 2025. The Jammu & Kashmir administration has designated both main routes—Pahalgam (46 km) and Baltal (14 km, shorter) as “No Flying Zones” starting July 1, 2025, to enhance security.

A head constable of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died after he allegedly shot himself with his service weapon in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, police said on Friday. The incident took place on Thursday at the headquarters of CRPF’s 199th battalion in Bhairamgarh, a police official said here. CRPF is engaged in operations against Naxals in the state.
