The Luthra brothers, accused in the Goa nightclub fire that claimed 25 lives, are reportedly detained in Thailand and deportation proceedings to India, as per the Hindustan Times reprted.

A fire at a Goa restaurant-club killed 25 people, prompting CM Pramod Sawant to announce ex-gratia aid and confirm four detentions. Bodies are being identified, while an eyewitness blamed a pyro gun spark for the rapidly spreading blaze.

ED's Panaji zonal office attached these properties in Anjuna, Assagaon and Ucassaim villages in Goa on November 27 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. 

The ED had earlier stated on September 29 that the raids resulted in the seizure of Rs 2.25 crore in cash and foreign currency valued at Rs 8.5 lakh, as part of an investigation under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) involving the casino group and linked companies.

Goa Minister Ravi Naik, aged 79, succumbed to a cardiac arrest in Ponda, Goa, earlier today. 

The ED probe stems from an FIR lodged by the Goa Police against Yeshwant Sawant and others under various sections of the Indian Penal Code on allegations of fraud committed against the Communidade of Anjuna.

The police case was registered against Md. Suhail, his wife Anjum Shaikh, and an associate, Nure Faijal Bhatkar, for offences including cheating, forgery of valuable security, and using forged documents as genuine under various sections of the IPC, 1860.

Yashasvi Jaiswal who is 23 years of age, has made a big decision as Goa has just made it to the knock-out stage. The likes of Arjun Tendulkar and Siddhesh Lad have also shifted their base to Goa from Mumbai.

Jaiswal featured for Mumbai last season after BCCI made it mandatory for players to take part in the domestic games in case of no international fixtures. Jaiswal has represented Mumbai in a Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir where he could score only 4 and 26.
