Early Assembly polls are underway in the northeastern state of Manipur. Polling began at 7 a.m. and will continue until 6 p.m. With a total of 60 seats in the Manipur Assembly, elections are being held for 38 constituencies in five districts in the first phase. The polls are scheduled to be held on Sunday, but are being held today due to delays in polling arrangements. The EC has set up a total of 1,721 polling stations in the first 38 assembly segments
