Tropical Storm Iselle pummeled the Hawaiian Islands with high winds and heavy rain on Friday, forcing hundreds to seek shelter and knocking out power to 23,000 people as residents kept a wary eye on an even more powerful storm headed their way.
Tropical Storm Iselle weakened further early on Friday as it clamoured toward the Hawaii shore. The Central Pacific Hurricane Centre said the system`s maximum sustained winds slowed from 113 kph to 97 kph. Iselle is expected to weaken further over the coming two days.
