The BSP on Saturday extended its support to the BJP-led NDA's presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu. Murmu on Friday filed her nomination papers for the July 18 presidential election, with PM Modi handing over the set of papers to Returning Officer. Former Union minister Yashwant Sinha has been declared the joint candidate by many opposition parties.
"By targeting a particular community, doing demolition using bulldozer, other malicious aggressive actions, crushing the protest, an atmosphere of fear and terror has been created. This is unfair and unjust. The court must take cognisance of the faulty action of targeting the entire family by demolishing the houses," Mayawati said.
