The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its first list of 99 candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections which is scheduled to be held on November 20. The saffron party released a list repeating most of the incumbents and giving tickets to family members of several party leaders. Among the prominent names, 10 ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
BJP aims to counter Congress in Maharashtra and Jharkhand polls, with key regional leaders influencing the opposition's campaign strategies.
