Gujarat, Rajasthan, MP on orange alert; heavy rains likely in THESE states
Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Western Madhya Pradesh. IMD has predicted heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu till July 27. IMD said the national capital will witness a generally cloudy sky with the possibility of thundershowers on Monday.

Rainfall activity likely to increase in THESE parts of India from today

IMD issues red alert for Mumbai; predicts heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana
IMD on Friday issued a red alert in Mumbai from 1:00 pm today till the next 24 hours. A red alert was issued for seven districts of Karnataka for very heavy rainfall. A yellow alert has been issued for 12 districts except for Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam districts.

IMD issues red alert for Mumbai, predicts heavy rainfall in THESE states
Moderate rainfall on Saturday may bring down the temperature to 33 degrees Celsius in Delhi, said IMD. Several parts of Rajasthan witnessed heavy to very heavy showers since Wednesday. Heavy rains continue to disrupt normal life in coastal areas of Karnataka.

“Conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon into remaining parts of Arabian Sea & Gujarat, parts of Rajasthan, remaining parts Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, some more parts of  Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir during next 3-4 days,” IMD said.

IMD said that the Southwest Monsoon normally covers the entire India by July 8. The weather office has predicted clear skiesin the national capital on Friday. IMD issued a yellow alert for Friday to warn that thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are likely at isolated places in MP.

Monsoon advances further into parts of Bengal, Bihar; IMD predicts heavy rain
The weather department informed that the conditions are favorable for further advance of monsoon into some more parts of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and the northwest Bay of Bengal. Monsoon will also advance in some more parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha, some more parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, and northeast Uttar Pradesh during next two to three days.

Isolated heavy rainfall very likely over East Madhya Pradesh during 17th-20th. Isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Kerala & Mahe, coastal & South Interior Karnataka during next 5 days. Met Office also informed that isolated heavy rainfall likely over Jammu division, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Haryana on 17th June and over Punjab on 17th, 18th & 20th June.
