Jagan to resume tour on Septemper 19

Congress MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been advised rest for two more days from Friday in view of the eye infection he is suffering from, and he is likely to resume his yatra from Sunday.

Ongole (AP): Congress MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been advised rest for two more days from Friday in view of the eye infection he is suffering from, and he is likely to resume his yatra from Sunday.

Mr. Jagan needed to rest today and tomorrow and he is likely to resume the ongoing ‘Odarpu (consolation) yatra’ in Prakasam district from Sunday, sources said.

The Kadapa MP was forced to take a break from the tour from Wednesday last in view of the eye infection which resulted in swelling in the eyes.

“His (Jagan) right eye is normal. The infection in the left eye subsided about 85 per cent. We told him to take rest tomorrow also, but he is determined to resume the yatra,” doctors, who treated Jagan, said yesterday.

The doctors said two days ago that the infection would be cured in two-three weeks.

Defying the Congress high command’s directive, Mr. Jagan resumed his controversial yatra in Prakasam district on September 3 to console families of those who died after the death of his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy last year.

The high command, however, has indicated that it may not take any action against him for now.
