SCR to run special trains for passengers stranded due to cyclone

In view of cancellation of some trains due to damage on railway track in Vijayawada division following heavy rains after cyclone Hudhud, the SCR will run special trains for the stranded passengers.

Hyderabad: In view of cancellation of some trains due to damage on railway track in Vijayawada division following heavy rains after cyclone Hudhud, the SCR will run special trains for the stranded passengers.

There have been breaches on railway track between Regupalem and Bayyavaram stations on Vijayawada-Duvvada section because of which six passenger trains were on Tuesday cancelled and two partially cancelled.

To clear the rush of stranded passengers, the South Central Railway will run two specials trains.

The Kakinada Town-Hyderabad Special train (07127) will depart Kakinada Town at 7.15 PM today while from Samlakot onwards this train will run on the path and timings of Godavari Express (train no 12727).

Similarly, Rajahmundry-Tirupati Special train (07488) will depart Rajahmundry at 5.20 PM this evening with the timings, halts and composition of Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Tirumala Express (train no. 17488), according to an SCR release.
