Tributes paid to former AP CM Pantulu on birth anniversary

 Rich tributes were on Sunday paid to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu on his 143rd birth anniversary.

Vijayawada (AP): Rich tributes were on Sunday paid to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu on his 143rd birth anniversary.

The tributes were paid at a function here organised by the AP government.

Minister for Water Resources Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Minister for Information and Public Relations Palle Raghunadha Reddy, other local leaders and government officials remembered Pantulu's role in the country's freedom struggle and his services for the state after its formation on 1953.

Pantulu, who was known as 'Andhra Kesari', actively participated in the freedom movement and was the first Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh.
