Hyderabad: A 30-year-old US national was raped at her residence in the posh Banjara Hills locality, police said Wednesday.
The incident took place late last night when an unidentified person barged into the woman`s rented house and sexually assaulted her after threatening her at knife point,
they said.
The victim was working for a US-based non-profit charitable organisation since a year and was living alone in penthouse at Road No.11 in Banjara Hills, police said.
She has been admitted to a corporate hospital where medical tests will be conducted.
Police have launched a manhunt for the accused on the basis of description given by the victim and two special teams have been formed for it.
City Police Commissioner A K Khan visited the woman`s house this morning.
