New Delhi/Islamabad: Former Pakistan army chief General Raheel Sharif has got an invitation to join politics following his retirement.

Pakistan's right wing Jamaat-e-Islami has extended an open invitation to Sharif to join their political party.

Jamaat parliamentary, Waseem Akhtar, in the Punjab Assembly invited the former army chief who retired just few days ago to join the party.

He asked Shareef to help the party change the face of politics in the same way he managed to change the fate of the nation through the Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorism.
