Guwahati: An earthquake of intensity measuring 5.6 on the Ritcher scale struck Assam on Sunday morning at around 6:35 am, leaving three injured.
Tremors were felt in Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and eastern part of India.
The epicentre of the tremor was reported to be in Kokrajhar at a depth of 10 km on latitude 26.5 degree north and longitude 90.1 degree east.
In April this year, tremors had been felt at Guwahati and its neighbouring areas in Assam following the devastating tremor in Nepal.
