Bihar carnage accused held

Police have arrested Budhan Sada, a prime accused in connection with the Amausi massacre in which 16 persons were killed in Bihar`s Khagaria district in October 2009, police said.

October 2009, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided Saura village and captured Budhan Sada, who was evading arrest ever since the carnage took place, the police said.

Sada was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, they said.
Twenty-nine persons were earlier arrested and sent to jail in this connection. `

Sixteen people, including five children, were killed by suspected Maoists in the incident centering on land dispute.
The victims belonged to the Kurmi caste and were from Amba Ichwara village. The attackers had tied their hands and feet before shooting them.
