Bihar Congress president to resign

Patna: Bihar Congress chief Choudhary
Mehboob Ali Kaiser Thursday said he would resign from his post
following the party`s electoral reverses in the assembly
elections in the state.
"I own moral responsibility for the defeat and I will
soon hand over my resignation to Congress president Sonia
Gandhi in New Delhi," Kaiser, who also lost the elections from
the Simri-Bakhtiarpur, said here.
In reply to a question, Kaiser said he had not taken
the decision to quit under pressure.

The Congress won only four seats in the polls.
