Hazaribag: Two CRPF personnel
were on Thursday injured when their colleague allegedly fired at
them inside the barracks of the 22nd battallion at Sindoor
near Hazaribag town.

Khurshid Ahmad and KC Vaish suffered serious gunshot
wounds after Resham Singh allegedly fired at them,
Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kamboj told newsmen.

The two injured were admitted to the Sadar Hospital
and their condition was stated to be critical, he said.

Resham Singh was reportedly in a drunken state during
altercations with his two colleagues before allegedly firing
two shots. All the three were drivers with the CRPF.

Others present on the spot, including officials and
jawans of the paramilitary force, overpowered Singh and handed
him to Hazaribagh Sadar police station.

Investigations were on to ascertain as to how a driver
of the force could procure the weapon at that time, he said.

The CRPF authorities ordered a separate inquiry into
the incident, he said.
