Patna: Five persons were killed and 23
others injured, eight of them seriously, in three separate
accidents in Bihar on Sunday police said.
Police said one Rahul Kumar and Vikas were killed and
three others critically injured when their car hit a
stationary truck on NH 31 between Kishanganj and Islampur in
Kishanganj district.
The critically injured persons were referred to Siliguri
Medical College in West Bengal.
In another incident, a car hit a rickshaw killing two of
its occupants and the rickshaw puller near Bagodar village of
Nawada district, they said.
Twenty people were injured, five seriously, when a bus in
which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck
coming from opposite direction near Konhawa village of
Gopalganj district, police said.
The critically injured passengers were referred to
Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, while 15 others were released
after first-aid.
The drivers of all the three vehicles managed to escape.
