New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday said that it is up to "pride of Bihar" veteran Bollywood actor and senior BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha whether he wants to join the Janata Dal (United) or not.

When asked on his programme hashtag AskNitish "you have called @ShatruganSinha the "pride of Bihar"... would you like him to join the JD(U)?" Nitish replied: "It is his call."

"Bihar ke neta aur CM jo ke elected neta unki tareef bihari babu nahi karega to kaun karega." (He is Bihar`s leader and a chief minister who has been elected. So, if this ` Bihari Babu` won`t praise him, who will?" he tweeted.

In his tweet, the actor-politician said he was touched by Nitish`s compliment "in calling me the pride of Bihar".Responding to another question "Why are you still asking for special status for Bihar when you have been given more money by Finance Commission?" Nitish said: "This is factually incorrect. The fact is, share of Bihar has been reduced by the 14th Finance Commission. Anyway, special status is not linked to the allocations of the Finance Commission."
