New Delhi: Bihar`s ruling Janata Dal United on Wednesday suspended its three MPs, two of whom had fielded their kins against the party`s official nominees in bypolls, from the organization on charges of indulging in anti-party activities.

"JD(U) President Sharad Yadav has suspended Lok Sabha MPs Jagdish Sharma and Purnamasi Ram and Rajya Sabha MP Ejaj Ali from the party with immediate effect for working against the party`s policies, programmes and decisions," party general secretary Javed Raza said in a press release here.
Sharma, Lok Sabha MP from Jehanabad in central Bihar, had fielded his wife while Ram, an MP from Gopalganj, put up his son against the party`s official candidates in recent assembly by-polls in the state, the release said.

The party alleged Ali was suspended from the party because he was regularly working against the party`s policies and decisions.

Ali has been a vocal critic of continuance of JDU`s alliance with BJP in Bihar and demanded his party severe ties from the saffron party.
BJP-JDU alliance is ruling Bihar which goes to fresh Assembly polls by October next year.
