Patna: The Election Commission has recognised the Hindustan Awami Morcha (HAM) of former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi as a political party, the party said on Wednesday.
Manjhi had in May this year launched the HAM, which later joined the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
The HAM is the BJP`s third ally in Bihar.
The others are union minister Ram Vilas Paswan`s Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) and union minister Upendra Kushwaha`s Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP).
