New Delhi: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday said that one should not give political twists to his decision not to attend Congress president Sonia Gandhi's Iftar party.
"What is the issue here? It is nothing political. Iftar is a holy event," he told the media here.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is also not attending Sonia's iftar party. She has assigned TMC leader Derek O'Brien to attend the programme.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will attend the Congress president's iftar party.
