Patna: Naxalites have shot dead a man and
his 50-year-old mother at a village in Masaudhi region here,
police said Sunday.
A group of about 60 armed Maoists raided Pachpan village
late last night and shot dead Mukesh Yadav (30) and his
mother, Patna (Rural) Superintendent of Police Chatranil Singh
said.
The family`s strong anti-Naxal sentiment was stated to be
the reason behind the killing, police said.
Three Naxalites were today arrested from a village in
Sheohar district of Bihar.
Santosh, Bhagirath and Ungar Ram were arrested during an
anti-Naxalite combing operation at Khurja Toja village,
Superintendent of Police (Sheohar) Vinod Kumar said.
Kumar said the operation was still on.
