Cooch Behar: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Sibeswar village in Dinhata of Cooch Behar district, the police said on Tuesday.
The police are yet to arrest the accused in response to the complaint filed by the girl's mother at Dinhata Police station last night.
The four-year-old girl is being treated in Dinhata Sub-divisional Hospital.
The woman told the police that her daughter was raped when she went to Okrabari market at 3:30 pm leaving her daughter at home when a neighbour took the girl to a cowshed and raped her.
Neighbours and her brother came to her rescue when she cried out and the accused slipped away.
