Nitish Kumar rattled by protest at meetings

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar slammed persistent protest by contractual teachers during his public meetings.

Madhubani: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday slammed persistent protest by contractual teachers during his public meetings in the districts on the issue of Bihar`s special status.
"I know those who are the forces behind protest and slogan shouting by contractual teachers at my public meetings here and elsewhere, but I won`t name them," he said at one such public meeting here.

The Chief Minister rebuked the agitating contractual teachers and said that he had embarked on `Adhikar Yatra` to fight for a serious issue like the special status demand.

He said it was he who gave jobs to lakhs of contractual teachers and raised their remuneration several times.

He claimed that his detractors have become zealous of achievements of his government and were indulging in petty politics, but said they would not succeed.
