Pappu Yadav sharpens attack on Lalu

Expelled RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on Monday came down heavily on party president Lalu Prasad and said he was prepared for a 'no holds barred' battle with him.

Madhepura: Expelled RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on Monday came down heavily on party president Lalu Prasad and said he was prepared for a 'no holds barred' battle with him.

"I stood by Lalu Prasad in times of need and helped him reach power despite the fact that he always humiliated me," Pappu Yadav said at a "Kudal Haal" rally here, his Lok Sabha constituency.

Sharpening his attack, Pappu Yadav said the "RJD chief threw me after use" and blamed Prasad of practising 'double standards'.

"When I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for development of Kosi there was a row, but when the PM went to Lalu Prasad's daughter marriage it was called a courtsey.

"When I had advised (Janata Parivar) merger it was not heard and now the same is being done," he said.

He also alleged that Prasad's sons have been humiliating party leaders with "encouragement from their father."

Pappu Yadav was expelled last week from RJD for six years for anti-party activities.

He fell ill after the rally and was checked by doctors.
