Saharsa(Bihar): A prisoner called by the
Superintendent of Saharsa jail for "cutting grass" in his
residential quarter fled after which the authorities filed an
FIR against the Superintendent today, official sources said.
District Magistrate R Laxmanan told PTI that Ghanshyam
Ram the Jail Superintendent had allegedly called the prisoner
(Bhushan Sah) lodged in judicial custody in connection with
cases related to murder and fraud for "cutting grass" .
But Sah managed to flee, he said.
"We have ordered registration an FIR against the jail
official," Laxmanan said.
Besides, he had also recommended to the IG(Prisons) for
taking departmental action against Ram.
