Siwan: Bihar BJP MLA Vikram Kunwar on Saturday said he had received a threat call on his mobile phone and demanded that the government provide adequate security to him.
``I have lodged a case with the Hussainganj police station in connection with the threat call which threatened to eliminate me,`` Kunwar, elected from Raghunathpur in Siwan district, told a news agency.
He has also written to Director General of Police Neelmani and Siwan superintendent of police.
Kunwar, a former minister, demanded that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister SK Modi ensure adequate security to him.
The BJP MLA alleged that a group of forces inimical to him were targeting him for highlighting irregularities in allotment of houses under Indira Awas Yojana (IAY).
