Three killed as vehicle rams into hut in Bihar

Begusarai: Three members of a family were killed and another woman was injured when a pick up van rammed into a roadside hut at a village in Begusarai district, police said Thursday.

The mishap took place at Bhoja village late last night when pick up van rammed into the hut and ran over the family members, the police said.

While two persons, identified as Sitaram (45) and his wife Saraswati Devi (39) died on the spot, one Manju Devi (32) succumbed to injuries at a hospital.

Another unidentified woman sustained serious injuries and was undergoing treatment at the Sadar hospital, the police said.

The driver escaped from the spot.
