Jamui: Two women were killed and one person was injured when a dumper knocked down a motorcycle at Digghi-Jinhara road in Jamui district of Bihar on Wednesday, police said.
The mishap took place when a dumper laden with steel rods rammed into a motorcycle in which three persons were travelling.
While the victims, identified as Anita Devi (21) and Puja Devi (18) died on the spot, Anita`s husband Bipin Yadav sustained injuries, the police said.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem and the injured man was admitted to a hospital, they said.
The driver of the escaped after abandoning the vehicle which has been impounded, the police said.
