Raipur: The administration in the Naxal
-affected area of Bastar region in Chhattisgarh will no longer
have to take the permission of the Finance Department for
giving employment to locals, official sources said today.
For jobs in local government offices and other bodies,
the administration can go ahead and provide employment without
waiting for Finance department's nod which was compulsory
earlier, they said.
The Finance Department has already started the process
to implement this decision taken by the State Government, the
sources said.
The Bastar division is among the regions most affected
by the Naxalite movement.
The government's decision is being seen as a move to
speed up the process of providing jobs to the locals affected
by the violent movement.
