Raipur: Four Naxals from Bastar district of Chhattisgarh, two of whom were carrying a reward on their head, have surrendered before the police.

Superintendent of Police of Bastar P Sunderraj said that the four outlaws Sonaram Yadav, Dharmu Nage, Massu Netam and Tulsiram Netam surrendered before the police at village Barwa.

He said Dharmu Nage was carrying a reward of Rs 20,000 on his head while reward for Massu Netam was for Rs 5,000 and the police were on the look out for them for a long time.

They were wanted in connection with incidents of violence, arson and destruction of government properties.

They told the police that they were misled by the Naxals from Andhra Pradesh and resorted to acts of violence.

They also said that they were upset that other Naxals were exploiting the local tribals and decided to surrender themselves.
