26 complaints of non-registration of FIR received by Delhi Police

Delhi police received 26 complaints regarding non-registration of FIR in North-East district in the last three months, although just three of these complaints were found to be substantiated, the Lok Sabha was told on Tuesday.

New Delhi: Delhi police received 26 complaints regarding non-registration of FIR in North-East district in the last three months, although just three of these complaints were found to be substantiated, the Lok Sabha was told on Tuesday.

"26 complaints have been received by Delhi Police regarding non-registration of FIR in North-East district during the last three months i.E. May, June and July, 2013.

"Out of these 26 complaints, only three complaints have been found substantiated and explanation notice issued to one Station House Officer, two Sub-Inspectors and one Head Constable, Minister of State for Home Affairs Mullappally Ramachandran told the Lok Sabha in a written reply to a query.

Replying to another question, the minister said Delhi police have registered 20 cases during the current year up to July 31 in which pornographic CDs have been recovered.
