New Delhi: A whopping 125 fresh swine flu
cases were reported in the city today raising the number of
patients infected by the disease so far to 8,751.
"Of the total 125 positive cases, 58 were children. With
this, the total number of swine flu cases reported till date
is 8,751 of which 5,050 cases are that of children," Delhi
Health Minister Kiran Walia said.
So far, 60 people have died in the city due to the
pandemic virus, she said.
Walia, however, said the situation is under control and
the government is doing its best in providing treatment to
H1N1 patients in government hospitals.
According to the WHO, India continues to report the
maximum number of cases of swine flu in the south east Asian
region.
