Gurgaon: A car was allegedly robbed in Sector 29 here by some men, two of whom were later arrested in Sohna after a chase by the police during which the accused even fired at the cops.
Police last night got information that an Innova car had been robbed from near Leisure Valley in Sector 29 here by some men, Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk said.
Through technological surveillance it was learnt that the car was heading towards Sohna. A barricade was put up at Sohna, he said.
When the accused reached the barricade, they were asked to stop, but they broke the barricade and ran towards Palwal.
The accused fired at the police party, but after a chase, they were finally nabbed at Hathin Gate in Palwal, Virk said.
The accused have been identified as Amit Dalal, a resident of Palwal district, and Sandeep, a resident of Gurgaon district.
Other accused have been identified and police parties have been dispatched to nab them, he said.
