Chilly Saturday in Delhi, cloudy Sunday expected

Delhi residents Saturday saw change in weather with cold winds taking the maximum temperature to 20.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The weather department has forecast a cloudy Sunday with rain in many parts of the city.

New Delhi: Delhi residents Saturday saw change in weather with cold winds taking the maximum temperature to 20.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average. The weather department has forecast a cloudy Sunday with rain in many parts of the city.

"There was a change in weather Saturday, however for another two-three days, there won't be further dip in the temperature. Sunday will be cloudy and rain is likely," said an official of the India Meteorological Department(IMD).

According to IMD, Delhi will see further dip in temperature only after Dec 15.

The maximum and the minimum temperatures Sunday are likely to hover around 20 degrees and 11 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature Saturday settled at 10.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.

Friday was the season's coldest day so far with the minimum temperature recorded at 5.1 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average. The maximum was 22.3 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average.
