Clean India: Delhi BJP MLAs, MPs join in taking cleanliness oath

In keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a clean India, local BJP MPs, MLAs and workers on Thursday pledge to make Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a success.

New Delhi: In keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a clean India, local BJP MPs, MLAs and workers on Thursday pledge to make Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a success.

As per scheduled programme, all the BJP MLAs, Councilors, district and mandal presidents initiated the cleanliness campaign in their respective areas.

Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay and MP Ramesh Bidhuri today started cleanliness in and around Tughlakabad Railway Station with the DM of Northern Railway, B K Sharma.

Bidhuri said that Tuglakabad is a big industrial area and sanitation is very important here and the workers, citizens and industrialists should play their role in it.

Upadhyay also administered Swachhta pledge to about 5000 people in the afternoon at a meeting of Prajapati Samaj and other local citizens at Khatu Shyam Stadium, Hari Nagar.

Addressing the people from Uttaranchal at Vinod Nagar, Upadhyay appealed to the people especially women to co-operate in this program and said that the women can ensure that the garbage is dumped at a fixed place and teaches the children not to litter.

In Narela of North Delhi, MP Udit Raj, MLA Shri Neel Daman Khatri and Councilor Keshrani started the cleanliness campaign at Community Centre, Punjabi Colony.
