New Delhi: Former Delhi chief secretary Omesh Saigal has lodged a complaint with Anti Corruption Branch (ACB) seeking an enquiry into alleged misuse of official position by Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal.

A senior ACB officer confirmed the complaint by Saigal adding that it was being looked into.

Earlier, Saigal had written a letter to Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung alleging that Maliwal used her official position while issuing a showcause notice to a private club of which he is a member.

In July, a woman member of the club had accused Saigal of harassing her by frequently bumping into her while swimming in the pool of the club.

She alleged that she and her husband were suspended from the club after they filed a police complaint against Saigal.

The woman had approached DCW which had issued a notice to Panchshila Club seeking to know why the club did not forward complaint of the woman to the local complaints committee and also why the complainant and her husband were suspended.
