New Delhi: Congress leader Ajay Maken on Monday said that the results of the Delhi Cantonment Board elections indicate that Congress has made a comeback in the city, adding that his party is neck-to-neck with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"The total number of seats that BJP had has come down. BJP`s lead is just of 2000 votes across the 64 polling stations whereas during Lok Sabha elections they had won by close to 15,000 votes. I would like tell those who were saying Congress is out of contest that the party has made a comeback. The BJP and Congress are fighting neck to neck and the AAP is in third place," Maken said.

"People who are saying that Congress is not in competition should look at the Delhi Cantonment poll results," Maken added.

The Delhi Cantonment Board elections for eight seats was held on Sunday with BJP, AAP and Congress being the three major parties contesting the polls.

According to latest reports, the BJP has won three seats while Congress and AAP have won one seat each.
