During patrolling in Dwarka Sector 23 at around 1.45 am Wednesday night, constable Sona Ram and Homeguard Ramesh stopped three men for riding on a bike.

Ramesh chased the third accused who shot at him. But, other policemen managed to nab him.

He was later identified as Ali, resident of Swaroop Nagar.

The three were carrying illegal weapons and to escape apprehension, they opened fire at the policemen.

Police said that the condition of both victims is said to be out of danger.
