New Delhi: Newly elected Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday assured of reducing electricity and water tariffs soon.

While attending the inauguration of Garden tourism festival at Garden of Five Senses in the national capital, Kejriwal said, “I have prepared a blueprint for reduction of electricity and water tariffs, will be giving you a good news soon.”

Further assuring the Delhiites, Kejriwal said that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government will fulfill its poll promises of launching anti-corruption helplines and provide free water.

The Kejriwal led-AAP won a massive victory in the recent elections by bagging 67 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly. While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed only three seats, the Congress failed to open its account.

On Tuesday, the AAP government decided not to terminate the services of contractual employees till further instructions.

There are around one lakh contractual employees working in various departments of the government who were promised regularisation ahead of the Delhi polls February 7 by the AAP.
