New Delhi: A thick layer of fog descended
on the national capital on Thursday night creating trouble for motorists
as the visibility dropped drastically.
Fog started enveloping the city around 8:30 pm and within
two hours, the visibility dropped to less than 20 metres.
Following the heavy fog, Air India has rescheduled its
two international flights.
New York bound AI-101 and AI-121 to Frankfurt (both non-
stop flights) have been rescheduled. The Frankfurt flight has
been rescheduled for 11 am tomorrow, according to Air India
officials.
In the city, traffic is moving at a snail`s pace as the
visibility range dropped drastically.
"It was very difficult to drive. I could not see anything
beyond 20 metres," said Chandan Ghosh, a media professional
who was returning to his Mayur Vihar house from Connaught
Place.
The capital also witnessed dense fog early in the
morning affecting both air and rail traffic.
