New Delhi: Commenting on the recent episode where former ACB chief SS Yadav allegedly threatened to commit suicide, Congress Party leader Sandeep Dikshit said that Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung must initiate immediate action and clean up the entire department.
Dikshit called Yadav `incompetent` and criticised him for acting like a feudal servant of the Delhi Government.
"I think Yadav is now a compromised officer. I have also heard that Yadav takes his orders from (Manish) Sisodia rather than based on facts of any situation. Now, if the ACB does that,and if he has compromised to such a large extent that he is like a feudal servant of the Delhi Government, it only shows his incompetence, and I think, the LG must take action and clean up the whole department," Dikshit told ANI here.Highlighting Yadav`s claim that he was being unfairly targeted by M K Meena, the current ACB chief, Dikshit said Meena is known to be a `very straightforward, and strong officer` and added that only governments that are scared of such officers make `nonsensical kind of allegations`.
"The LG must take cognizance of the facts, strengthen the ACB, and make sure that it works well. And, I have a suspicion that as news is pouring in daily of ministers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) getting into very dirty kinds of deals in the city, they are scared that officers like Meena will start catching them," he added.
The turf war between former Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) chief SS Yadav and the body`s current chief M K Meena has turned ugly.
The former ACB chief, who is an additional commissioner of police, started shouting against Delhi Police in the presence of M K Meena after being censured for carrying the ACB`s FIR book.
This comes amid the ongoing conflict between Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Lt. Gov. Jung over Meena`s appointment as ACB chief.
