Girl raped by friends, victim taken to Rishikesh

New Delhi: A 16-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a group of minor boys from her school after taking her to Rishikesh, police said on Tuesday.

The shocking case was reported from Badarpur in Southeast Delhi.
A case of rape was registered at Badarpur police station here recently after the victim`s family approached them.

The police in Rishikesh had informed parents of the victim about the incident.

All the accused are minors, a senior police official said, adding they were victim`s "friends" and studied in the same school in Badarpur.

Police are investigating whether the boys forcibly took her to Rishikesh.
